I used to show it in car shows in the Bakersfield area. My son and I both belonged to a 4x4 club called the Midnight Runners. This club is no more, most left the area or got out of 4wheeling for some reason or another. Both myself and my son would enter these car shows. He and I would compete against one another. I would win, he would come in second editors note: NOT ALWAYS :-). So later on I would enter mine in the 55-57 division and he would enter his in the 4x4 division so he would have a chance to win editors note: haha very funny. Which worked out great for him, but for me it was a different story. The 55-57 guys didn't appreciate what I had done to my 56 so they black balled me in the events.

Yes either people would like what I did to it or they would hate it. All I would say to those that hated it is IF you beat me on the street you'll have no chance off road! I can say that I have only gotten beat once on the street and that's when my old 327 blew up. I love it!! It makes me turn 18 again as soon as I get in it!! Now if I can just keep from getting tickets!!!
From driving it to and from high school, to dating my wife in it, to drag racing it and now 4 wheeling (fast 4 wheeling) in it, I just LOVE IT!!! And I have done all of the work myself.
See you on the streets of Bakersfield or on the dunes. Good driving to all!!!
